Kasba Ganpati - (First Manacha Ganpati) -

The Kasba Ganpati is called the Garam daivat. People  to take blessings before going or starting any important work.The idol of the Kasba Ganapati is said to have been found in the 17th century near the house of one Vinayak Thakar. It is believed that the Ganesh idol is swayambhu (found in its natural form) and was originally much smaller, and the original one has not been seen for centuries. The present-day idol is much bigger with repeated application of vermilion.The temple was built by Shahaji Raje & Jijabai in Lal Mahal year 1626 to worship before any important work. So the legacy was followed by Shivaji Maharaj & the Peshwas. The temple was reconstructed after many years which has a big Sabha Mandap (meeting room) where many devotees can come and worship. Also the musicians can perform there on the main occasion, so a big Hall is also constructed. This musical performances still are been carried out till date on many occasions. So as this Ganpati is called Gramdevta of Pune and has the historic importance so it is ranked first.
